As part of the College’s review of its governance structure and processes, we are pleased to confirm that all Fellows and Members of the College and its Faculties, who have paid the current year’s subscription fee appropriate to their own country of residence, will now be able to vote in the annual elections to College Council and Faculty Executive Boards. This resolution was passed at the College’s Annual General Meeting on 4 December 2020, with 90% in favour of the motion.

Following the Faculty of Travel Medicine’s AGM in October, Dr Sam Allen has been appointed as Dean Elect for a period of one year. Following this, Sam will take on the position of Dean of the Faculty of Travel Medicine.

The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow has appointed two new Vice Presidents following our recent College Council elections. Professor Andrew Gallagher and Mr John Scott have been elected as Vice President (Medical) and Vice President (Surgical) respectively.

Christine Skinner has taken up her post as Dean of the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine following the faculty’s Annual General Meeting yesterday evening (Wednesday 24th June 2020). She is the first female Dean of the Faculty to be elected by its membership.

All members of the College are invited to this year’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), which will be held on Friday 6 December at 4.30pm.

The results of the elections to College Council were announced at our Annual General Meeting, held in the College on Friday 7th December 2018.
