Professor Jackie Taylor, President of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, has issued the following comment following the publication of updated guidance from the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) on the efficacy and safety of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine.
As part of the College’s review of its governance structure and processes, we are pleased to confirm that all Fellows and Members of the College and its Faculties, who have paid the current year’s subscription fee appropriate to their own country of residence, will now be able to vote in the annual elections to College Council and Faculty Executive Boards. This resolution was passed at the College’s Annual General Meeting on 4 December 2020, with 90% in favour of the motion.
